I met this beautiful bride at a bridal open house when I was showcasing aerial silks as wedding entertainment. We instantly hit it off and she asked me to perform for her big day. She chose the Bell Tower on 34th Street which is a stunning venue to have her ceremony and reception. They have 30 foot ceilings which I absolutely die for of course! When I arrived, her groom met with me and had such a happy look on his face, all he could think about was marrying the woman of his dreams. I brought my nude/cream colored silks which looked so elegant and performed during the dinner and reception. Afterwards I met her older aunt who was so impressed that she was ready to take classes herself! We now follow each other on Instagram 🙂
Dutch DJ, Sam Feldt flew into town and played a great set at Clé on Sunday. It was as hot as Houston gets and I was high above the crowd on my flower-decorated lollipop lyra. I even added some silk fans to my performance. The crowd was in full beach party mode dancing and splashing in the pool. Summer is by far my favorite time of year! Even though a lot of people said it was a little terrifying to see me up 20 feet in the air they loved the show along with all the gorgeous performers on our team. Thanks always to Lady L Entertainment who creates our concepts and is so supportive of all of us!
A wonderful aunt decided to surprise her nephew for his high school graduation party by having me perform on my lollipop lyra during dinner last weekend. Everyone was surprised and excited including the young man’s parents. The party took place at the beautiful La Tranquila Ranch in north Houston. There was so much joy in the room with family members from multiple generations. It was a very proud occasion and I loved being a part of it. Special thanks to Debra Riley of La Tranquila who took amazing care of me and made my job super easy and fun!
For the past 3 years Clé (French for “key”) has been an upscale playground in downtown Houston for those looking to let loose and get wild. Top DJ’s from all over the world come to play sets by the pool while beautiful people enjoy the summer weather. At night, the party keeps going with an indoor dance floor and top shelf drinks. I helped celebrate Clé turning 3 by performing on lyra with Lady L Entertainment. Our team also featured a mermaid, stilt walker, strolling champagne beauty, fire performer, and a gorgeous woman in a balloon dress. We were all costumed in white and gold. Clé never disappoints when it comes to luxury and decadence and this party was absolutely all of that.
The “Hammocks `N Chill” event, part of Urban Hang Suite Vol. 2 was held at Lion’s Heart Studios in Houston this past weekend. So many people I talk to love to go out but are just not into the nightclub scene. They are looking for a place to get dressed well, talk with new people from different walks of life, listen to relaxing music, and enjoy a night away from the daily grind. This event was all of that and so much more. There was good food, tropical cocktails (virgin and alcoholic), as well as different water infusions. The highlight of course was the colorful hammocks hung around the spacious venue for people to literally just chill in. They were close enough together to have conversations with someone next to you but still have room to yourself. I performed throughout the night on my white silks with artistic images projected behind me. I really felt in the zone with the great music and cool crowd. The event creator and owner of Lion’s Heart Studios, Nya Dillard, plans to host another 2-day event in July and I can’t wait to be a part of it!
I was so honored to perform for Israeli Independence Day in Houston this past weekend. This city is famous for its amazing cultural diversity and Israelis definitely know how to throw a party! They played great music and danced all night. Everyone wore the national colors of blue and white including myself. I began my lollipop lyra performance to “Becoming Insane” by the super cool Israeli electric band, Infected Mushroom. There were also hula hoopers, a fire dancer, and a saxophone player. This was my first time at an Israeli party and I had such a great time. Happy 70th birthday Israel!!
I had a super fun weekend performing my lollipop lyra at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston. Backspace headlined the night by playing a 26 song set; one song for every letter of the alphabet. The band is made up of business professionals who dedicate themselves to serving the community. The concert raised money for OpHeart, an amazing organization that aims to help children born with life-threatening heart defects no matter the income level of the parents. There was a great crowd of all ages that came out to support a wonderful cause. Houston is known for having a strong community connection and this night definitely showed that spirit. (Special thanks to Knockout Entertainment for bringing me on board!)
Robin Schulz opened the pool party season at Cle (day and night club) this past Sunday and played an awesome set. I was costumed in gold with monarch butterflies by Lady L Entertainment and performed on my lollipop. Houston weather is always unpredictable but this day was perfect. Warm, sunny, and full of chill vibes and people ready to say goodbye to an unusually cold winter. We actually got a few inches of snow this year!
I always love performing at the pool parties at Cle. I’m thinking about having a new outdoor apparatus built just for outdoor events like these but still in the early designing stages. So many ideas!
I got show off my gorgeous aerial moon at the Spire Club in Houston over the weekend. There was an Above and Beyond concert nearby and this was the after party. The moon needs a couple people to haul it around because of the size and weight but it’s a total show stopper. The crowd thought it was just a decoration piece at first so when I climbed up on it they were amazed! It was decorated with blue LED lights which made it pop even more. It’s such a special piece of equipment to me and I hope to do some duets on it some day. It made an appearance at the Lights All Night music festival in Dallas for New Year’s weekend (see earlier blog post) and looked beautiful just hanging there. I get my fair share of bruises practicing on that beast but definitely felt like a goddess last weekend for a couple hours. Then back to being normal the next day!
It was a dream come true for a beautiful 15-year-old girl named Jasmine. But not just because her birthday was a night fit for a queen. It was special because her mother was able to celebrate it with her. Her mother was diagnosed with a serious illness and could not attend the party initially. It had to be delayed for months, but with the love and support of the entire family she was able to see her daughter sing, dance, and have the time of her life. I was so honored when they asked me to perform for the party. There were so many adorable children who were amazed at the flying aerialist in the sky. I took pictures with all of them and told them that they could fly one day too if they wanted. This was definitely one of the most heartfelt shows I’ve ever done and I won’t forget it.
