The “Hammocks `N Chill” event, part of Urban Hang Suite Vol. 2 was held at Lion’s Heart Studios in Houston this past weekend. So many people I talk to love to go out but are just not into the nightclub scene. They are looking for a place to get dressed well, talk with new people from different walks of life, listen to relaxing music, and enjoy a night away from the daily grind. This event was all of that and so much more. There was good food, tropical cocktails (virgin and alcoholic), as well as different water infusions. The highlight of course was the colorful hammocks hung around the spacious venue for people to literally just chill in. They were close enough together to have conversations with someone next to you but still have room to yourself. I performed throughout the night on my white silks with artistic images projected behind me. I really felt in the zone with the great music and cool crowd. The event creator and owner of Lion’s Heart Studios, Nya Dillard, plans to host another 2-day event in July and I can’t wait to be a part of it!
